Dr. Jack Regan
Co-Founder, CEO, and CTODr. Regan is the inventor of the MantaBio automated pathogen detection system, MantaVision®. Before founding MantaBio, he led a team of scientists at Bio-Rad Laboratories in developing tests for detecting pathogens, cancer, and neurological disorders using droplet digital PCR. Prior to Bio-Rad, Jack helped QuantaLife bring droplet digital PCR from concept to commercialization, leading to an acquisition by Bio-Rad for $162 million. He has also worked at Applied Biosystems/Life Technologies on automated sample preparation and did his post-doctoral training at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he developed automated instruments to detect respiratory pathogens and biothreat agents for the US government’s BioWatch program. His doctoral training at the University of California San Francisco focused on influenza viral replication.

Carter Boisfontaine
Co-Founder and PresidentCarter Boisfontaine is an accomplished investment professional with extensive experience in venture capital, corporate finance, and strategic transactions. He has overseen over $500 million in transactions, including startup investments, fundraising initiatives, and complex growth-stage deals. Carter previously served as a lead for a $1 billion growth fund at Pegasus Tech Ventures, a global venture capital firm managing $2 billion in assets under management and collaborating with over 40 corporate partners. At Pegasus, he led large investments in high-profile companies like SpaceX and SoFi, as well as seed and early-stage investments in innovative AI computer chip companies, driving technological advancements across emerging industries. As Senior Manager of Corporate Development at Bird Global, Carter was instrumental in the company’s financial and operational growth. He successfully closed $200 million in private financing, secured a $150 million Apollo debt facility, and played a critical role in executing the company’s SPAC merger and multiple acquisitions. Carter’s expertise lies in operational leadership, driving transformative transactions, fostering strategic partnerships, and building scalable business solutions that create lasting value. His strategic approach and operational acumen make him uniquely equipped to drive growth and innovation.

Thomas Farb-Horch
Co-Founder and Member of the BoardMr. Thomas Forest Farb-Horch has been involved in founding of 18 pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, software, and AI companies, 7 of which have been unicorns. Currently he is CEO and Co-Founder of Boston-based Thrive Bioscience, commercializing instruments and software for a critically important but neglected area of life sciences, which is imaging, analytics, and automation of cell culture, cell-based research, and cell therapeutics.
